A Comforting Retreat for all.

After years of searching for the perfect property to house a future school, Ade finally discovered this remarkable parcel nestled in the woods of Appleton, Maine.

Upon her first visit, she sensed a unique energy in the air. Goldfinches darted through the summer sky, and life buzzed all around. With each step into the woods, the feeling intensified. Towering wolf pines greeted her at the stream, the natural boundary of the property. Pausing to observe, she spotted tiny peepers and frogs content in the Harriet Stream. Further along the old logging trails, evidence of beaver dams, deer tracks, and browsing on fresh summer leaves dotted the landscape. Ade could almost hear the laughter of children echoing through the trees as they discovered hidden treasures. Turning to her Dad, she whispered, "This is it."

Nature Play All Day now occupies over 18 acres of wooded terrain, teeming with wildlife. On the day friends and family gathered in November 2023 to raise the yurt, two bald eagles remained perched atop one of the wolf pines, now affectionately named "Walter Evergreen" after Ade's late Grandfather. Hawks, eagles, and ravens are frequent visitors, along with deer, coyotes, martens, and grouse. It's our privilege to share this land with our community, children, and enrolled families. Nature Play All Day isn't just a 'school,' but a welcoming retreat for all who venture here. We extend an open invitation - our "doors" are always open for you to visit anytime.
